The samarth house is built on a half acre plot sloping downward sharplyh in the northern
direction toward a stream. The design responds to the user’s need of a family home amidst
natures bounty, in the image of a traditional house using natural stone and timber. The house is planned around an existing jambul tree, creating a central court open to sky. The plan looks inward as well as outward into the valley. A variety of semi open and open spaces are created to enhance the experience of the environment and the climate.
